Dear Wine Associates,

With great pleasure, we invite you to join us on Thursday, April 27, 2000, as we present "AN IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION" of wines and guests from five truly outstanding wineries. Our seminar will feature a variety of fascinating and original creations, including a multitude of now releases and a special barrel sample.

LONG VINEYARDS, owned by our good friends Bob Long and Zelma Long, is located in Napa Valley in the eastern hills of St. Helena. For 25 years, Bob, Zelma and Winemaker Sandi Belcher have produced some of California's greatest wines, which we have presented at numerous Wine Association events. BOB LONG returns by popular demand to charm us with his wit and share a barrel sample of his magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon along with new releases of his elegant Chardonnay and scrumptious Johannisberg Riesling.

FIFE VINEYARDS, with vineyards located in Napa Valley and Mendocino County, was established by DENNIS FIFE in 1991. Dennis recently created a partnership with a winery on Spring Mountain Road in St. Helena where he now produces his distinctive wines. The Fife wines have always been a hit at our Wine Association events and we are happy to welcome Dennis back to explain his winemaking philosophy and present his latest exciting releases, including his high-scoring Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, intriguing L'Attitude (a Rhone-style blend) and sensual Redhead Petite Syrah.

PINE RIDGE WINERY, situated in the heart of Napa Valley's Stag's Leap District on the Silverado Trail, was founded in 1978 by Gary and Nancy Andrus. They are known for producing elegant and subtle wines from their 16 estate vineyards in selected viticultural districts. To give us insight into these impressive wines, we are pleased to welcome PATRICK MULEADY, the Pine Ridge National Brand Manager. Patrick is also a long-time friend of the Duke of Bourbon and we know that his enthusiasm will be infectious as he guides us through tastes of Pine Ridge's classy Chenin Blanc-Viognier, rich Carneros Merlot and powerful, lush Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

ARCHERY SUMMIT WINERY, located in the Red Hills of Dundee of Oregon's Willamette Valley, was also founded by Gary and Nancy Andrus in their efforts to find the best vineyard sites to produce the most distinguished Pinot Noir. Their Premier Cuvee is a blend of their best lots, best vineyard sites and most mature vines. Patrick Muleady is also the National Brand Manager for Archery Summit.

CHAPPELLET VINEYARDS, located just minutes from Long Vineyards atop Pritchard Hill overlooking Lake Hennessey, was founded by Donn and Molly Chappellet in 1967 -- the same year we opened the Duke of Bourbon in Canoga Park. In fact, Chappellet was the first winery we visited on our first joint trip to Napa Valley in 1971! This nostalgic memory makes us doubly delighted to welcome Donn's and Molly's daughter, ALEXA CHAPPELLET, to represent the winery in her role as Director of Sales and Marketing. Her scintillating personality will surely shine as she describes their superb Chappellet Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The cost for this is 33.00 each for the member and the first guest. Additional guest and non-member reservations are $37.00 each. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is April 25.
