With pleasure and excitement, we invite you to join us to "SOLVE THE MYSTERIES" at a unique and intriguing wine seminar on Thursday, July 18, 2002. Joining us as lead investigators will be four outstanding and entertaining wine personalities - DENNIS FIFE of FIFE VINEYARDS, FORREST TANCER of IRON HORSE, ROBERT PECOTA of ROBERT PECOTA WINERY and SUSAN CANNON of SILVER OAK-who will present some of their finest wines and provide us with pertinent explanatory evidence for our sleuthing endeavors.

Several of the wines shown this evening will be served blind (at least one from each winery) so we, as deputy detectives, will have a chance to follow the scents and track down their identities. The evening will begin with a 30-minute walk-around tasting, followed by the sit-down investigative portion. Many of the wines presented will not be blind. In full sight will be "Scarlet 2000," a brand new meritage from Fife Vineyards, the new release of Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, an extremely rare and limited trockenbeerenauslese-style Muscat from Robert Pecota, and the Iron Horse "Good Luck Cuvée," a special sparkling wine produced only every 12 years in honor of the "Year of the Horse." Our somewhat mysterious and comprehensive list of wines will include:

• CABERNET FRANC • CABERNET SAUVIGNONS • MERLOT • MUSCATS • PETITE SYRAH

• ROSÉS • SAUVIGNON BLANCS • SPARKLING WINES • SYRAH • ZINFANDEL

Our "Solve the Mysteries" seminar will be held in the Hidden Hills Room of the Warner Center Marriott (just off the lobby). You are most welcome to bring your friends and there will be no extra charge for non-members. The cost for this event is $35.00 per person. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is July 16. While bread and cheese will be served, we recommend that you have dinner prior to the event. The Marriott's Parkside Cafe serves Early-Bird Dinners.
