With great pleasure, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, for our exclusive Southern California début presentation of the fabulous 1999 vineyard-designated CABERNET SAUVIGNONS of NICKEL & NICKEL. Our dinner will feature a delectable menu designed by Posto Executive Chef Steve Samson and Posto/Valentino Proprietor Piero Selvaggio.

NICKEL & NICKEL, the creation of Far Niente Winery partners Gil Nickel, Dirk Hampson and Larry Maguire, specializes in only single-vineyard wines, each with a distinctive character associated with its unique location. We were proud to have presented the Southern California premieres of Nickel & Nickel wines for the first two years and we are equally pleased to welcome back Partner LARRY MAGUIRE to help us début their third vintage. Each one is extremely limited and we are honored to be among the few select wine shops to offer these exciting wines.

This year, in our special "tasting-dining" format, we will present six phenomenal 1999 Cabernet Sauvignons from six Napa Valley vineyard designations. With Larry's first-hand knowledge of these wines as well as his knowledge of the Napa Valley, he will explain why he calls these vineyard-designated wines "a snapshot of the 1999 vintage in Napa Valley." Each wine has a unique personality and a story all its own. For instance, the 1999 Tench comes from a vineyard across from Backus and adjacent to Screaming Eagle, the 1999 Stelling is from Far Niente's home vineyard and the 1999 Dragonfly is from Far Niente Winemaker/Partner DIRK HAMPSON's own personal three-and-one-half-acre vineyard. Larry will welcome your comments about Nickel & Nickel's idea of vineyard-designating their entire production, with up to 25-30 wines slated for the future.

Our presentation this evening will have a special twist to make your experience both educational for your mind and enjoyable for your senses. We hope you will join us and be the first on your block to taste some magnificent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons from the exceptional 1999 vintage. In addition to the Nickel & Nickel Cabernets, we will present two superb Chardonnays and the luscious Dolce dessert wine.

The cost for this magnificent wine dinner is $88.00 each for the member and the first guest, all inclusive; additional guest and non-member reservations are $98.00 each.
