Dear Wine Associates:

The Duke, Nickel & Nickel and Maggiano's have teamed up to bring you a summer evening of exciting taste sensations. With great pleasure, we invite you to join us on Thursday, July 22, 2004, for our first Wine Association dinner at MAGGIANO'S LITTLE ITALY at the Promenade in Woodland Hills.

Maggiano's Executive Chef Deborah Breuler loves to do wine dinners and she has created a terrific menu to complement the superb wines of Nickel & Nickel. Since Maggiano's is known for their delicious family-style dinners, our event will continue that tradition. However, to make our evening truly special, Deborah will prepare several dishes that are not on the regular Maggiano's menu.

NICKEL & NICKEL is the sister winery to the historic Far Niente Winery in Napa Valley. It specializes in only single-vineyard wines, each with a distinctive character associated with its unique location. The new Nickel & Nickel winery was completed last year on a beautiful site adjacent to Opus One in the Oakville appellation of Napa Valley. It is a charming mixture of down-home buildings with modern, state-of-the-art production facilities and a magnificent barrel cellar.

We were proud to have presented several Southern California premieres of Nickel & Nickel wines in the past. This year, we are pleased to welcome their Western U. S. Regional Manager, Mark Pighini, to help us with a unique presentation. We will show two vintages (2000 and 2001) of three of their excellent Cabernet Sauvignons. This will give us the opportunity to see for ourselves the differences between two consecutive vintages as well as three distinctive vineyard designations. In addition, we will have two wonderful Nickel & Nickel Chardonnays, a lovely Merlot, and the luscious Dolce dessert wine, which is also the creation of the Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel partners.
