As supporters of both the New West Symphony and the Symphony of Wine, the Duke of Bourbon would like to invite you to attend the Symphony of Wine V charity wine dinner and auction on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at 3:00 PM. The event will be held in the beautiful Learning Center at the world-wide headquarters of Countrywide Mortgage in Calabasas, California. You will also have the chance to meet winemakers Jim Adelman (Au Bon Climat, Qupe, Makor), Fred Brander (Brander Vineyard), Bob Long (Long Vineyards), Frank Ostini (Hitching Post) and Tom Shelton (Joseph Phelps Vineyards). This year, the Symphony of Wine has chosen to honor Tom Shelton , CEO of Joseph Phelps Vineyards, as their Maestro of Food & Wine. He follows in the footsteps of past Maestros David Breitstein of the Duke of Bourbon, Ken Volk of Wild Horse Winery fame, Frank Ostini of Hitching Post Restaurant and Winery and Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat.This promises to be another exciting event! The outstanding cuisine will be prepared on the spot by the talented chefs of Bellavino, Maggiano's Little Italy, Water Grill, Wine Cask and The Landing . . . the exciting live auction will be conducted by famed auctioneer David Reynolds . . . dinner wines will come from renowned wineries Au Bon Climat, Consilience, Iron Horse Vineyards, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Long Vineyards, Nickel & Nickel, Qupe and Rudd Estate . . . all reasons to attend the 2005 Symphony of Wine. The attendance is limited, which gives everyone the chance to get into the bidding and bring home a desired lot. Although the following description of the auction lots is very general, a complete catalog will be available one week before the event. from wineries such as Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Chateau Montelena, Dalla Valle, Diamond Creek, Silver Oak, Duckhorn Vineyards, Rudd Estate and Spottswoode Rare Bordeaux, including first and second growths from top vintages V.I.P. tours, tastings and dinners with Jim Clendenen, Frank Ostini, Dan Duckhorn, Tom Shelton, Fred Brander, Chateau Montelena, Rudd, Silver Oak and more Luxury trips to Mexico and New York Private wine dinners at Mandevilla, Sherwood Country Club and others The cost for this very special charity dinner and auction is $250.00 per person.
