Schramsberg is considered by many to be
America's First House of Sparkling Wine. As many of you know, their Blanc de Blancs was used by President Nixon to toast the opening of trade relations with China. Almost as importantly, Schramsberg and founders
Jack and
Jamie Davies played an integral part in the development of the
Duke of Bourbon! It is with a great deal of pride that we present Schramsberg's sensational non-vintage
Mirabelle Brut and
Mirabelle Brut Rose at very special pricing, just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Also perfect for your holiday parties and that New Year celebration.
Mirabelle is Schramsberg's multi-vintage brut sparkling wine. This young, bright bubbly, principally comprised of Chardonnay, exhibits the crisp acidity and vibrant green apple, citrus fruit that is characteristic of this grape when grown in the North Coast. Pinot Noir adds body, mid-palate and further depth of fruit flavor. Mirabelle gains unique depth from the addition of lots aged in barrels and tanks at the winery from prior vintages. These older base-wine lots, which typically form 20% of the finished blend, add significant palate richness and aromatic complexity. This is a wine that has high quality to price ratio. It is meant to retail for $25.00. You will have a hard time finding a better value when you learn that the Duke's price is $19.99 per bottle. The good news just keeps coming! Mix or match Mirabelle and Mirabelle Rose and save a buck-a-bottle! Wow! Mirabelle Brut for $18.99 each when purchasing 6 or more.
We've saved the best till last! Mirabelle Brut Rose
, partner to Mirabelle Brut, is a specially crafted blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Schramsberg's select cool-climate vineyards in Carneros, Anderson Valley, and the Sonoma and Marin coastal areas of Northern California. Pinot Noir lots, including a few fermented with skin contact, provide brightness of berry fruit and body, while Chardonnay lots lend length and zest to the palate. Additional flavor depth and aromatic complexity results from the blending of base wine lots aged in barrels and tanks for one or more years. The finished Brut Rose exhibits fresh, elegant and toasty aromas that lead into lively and delicious fruit flavors on the palate. Just the incredible color alone excites the taste buds.
Wine Spectator agrees with us. Look at the 93/100 points they have awarded Mirabelle Brut Rose in an upcoming issue of the magazine. Here's what they said: "A rose with serious intentions, this has a delicate pink hue and floral strawberry and spicy yeast roll aromas. The flavors show good focus, offering raspberry, Gala apple, ginger and fig flavors. Drink now through 2012."
Even more good news coming! It is meant to sell at retail for $28.50. But, the Duke's price is $23.99 per bottle. Great QPR!! Don't forget - mix or match with Mirabelle Brut and save a buck-a-bottle, making your final price on Mirabelle Brut Rose just $22.99 each.
