2004 BURGUNDIES from MAISON JOSEPH DROUHIN

with Very Special Guests

VERONIQUE DROUHIN & LAURENT DROUHIN

Dear Wine Associates:

We are absolutely delighted to welcome VERONIQUE DROUHIN and LAURENT DROUHIN as our very special guests for a fascinating seminar featuring "2004 BURGUNDIES from MAISON JOSEPH DROUHIN" on Tuesday, February 7, 2006. Making a rare visit to Los Angeles (this is Laurent's first), this sister and brother are the great-grandchildren of Joseph Drouhin, who founded the famous "negociant firm" in 1880 when he purchased an existing wine house established in 1796. Located in the heart of Beaune, France, Drouhin produces some of the world's finest wines from some of France's most famous Burgundian vineyards. In addition, the Drouhin Family owns the outstanding U.S. winery, DOMAINE DROUHIN OREGON.

The House of Drouhin produces upwards of 80 different wines each year, many of which are extremely limited and difficult to obtain. Chardonnay for White Burgundy and Pinot Noir for Red Burgundy are the grapes used in this treasured appellation. The three massive cellars (all preserved in their original states) of the Drouhin Family include one with Gothic architecture and vaulted ceilings built in the 13th Century, one situated beneath the 14th-Century former palace of the Dukes of Burgundy and one located under the ancient Parliament of Beaune-a cellar that was built for the kings of France in the 16th Century.

Both Veronique Drouhin and Laurent Drouhin grew up playing in their family's vineyards. Veronique studied enology and, after years of experience elsewhere, is now the family's enologist in charge of winemaking at Domaine Drouhin Oregon, where she spends at least three months a year and makes numerous visits as required. Laurent Drouhin's first job after graduate school was with a bank, but he missed the world of Burgundy and now resides in New York and is the Sales Manager for Drouhin's U.S. market. We are fortunate to have this charming duo with us and we appreciate the opportunity to preview Drouhin's exciting 2004 white and red Burgundies, which are being sent to us from their cellars in Beaune especially for our event.

In a repeat of previous successful Burgundy seminars, we are delighted to welcome back NETTA WILLIAMS, the long-time and knowledgeable Regional Sales Manager for Maison Joseph Drouhin. Netta will assist Veronique and Laurent in leading our barrel-sample tasting, which promises to be an illuminating experience for all of us. In addition, we will show four wines from the Drouhins' Oregon property. The Maison Joseph Drouhin wines will be available to order at very special "futures" pricing for delivery later this year.
