Soars to #1 in World Spirits Championships

Sidney Frank, Chairman of Sidney Frank Importing Co., Inc., is thrilled to announce that Grey Goose Vodka has won the Platinum Medal and a "Superlative" rating in the World Spirits Championships. New from France, Grey Goose Ultra-Premium Vodka was given an out-standing 96 points out of a possible 100 points, making it the number one vodka in the world and placing it far above its competition.

The World Spirits Championships are conducted by the Beverage Tasting Institute Inc. (BTI) of Chicago, the largest independent, full-time, product-testing service in the world. All tastings are conducted in controlled environments, and judges are routinely tested to measure their expertise. In this blind tasting, a panel of ten judges "measured the pleasure" of each vodka. The vodkas were judged on smoothness, impression on the palate, taste and feel.

BTI conducts the vodka competition once every two years. According to Jon Winsell, the general manager of BTI, "Out of 40 vodkas blindly tasted, the Beverage Tasting Institute judges preferred Grey Goose over all others. In fact, they liked Grey Goose so much they gave it the only Platinum Medal awarded in the competition."

Says Frank, "We knew we had a winner when we began importing Grey Goose last summer. This award tells us we were right." Grey Goose Vodka comes from France and is made with mineral water from the Gentle Springs of Cognac. Naturally purified with champagne limestone, the water blends with the finest grain available.
