U.S. Cigar hires new president/CEO
U.S. Cigar Sales, Inc. has appointed Jose G. "Pepe" Gutierrez, 52, as President and CEO. He was previously with Consolidated Cigar Corporation where he worked as vice president of the premium cigar division.
Gutierrez will direct marketing, world-wide sales, and the company's production and tobacco growing operations in Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
Gutierrez has a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University, a Master of Science in Applied Science from the University of California at Davis and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Southern Methodist University. From 1979 to 1991 he was vice president and the president of Te-Amo Gerylm, Inc., a New Jersey-based importer and marketer of premium cigars.
