HOYO DE MONTERREY
INTRODUCES THE TUBOS
NEW YORK Tradition continues today as Villazon & Company, Inc. introduces Hoyo de Monterrey Tubos as the newest addition into its family of premium hand-made cigars.
Enclosed in an aluminum tube, the Hoyo de Monterrey Tubos cigar is made with a popular mixture of Honduran, Nicaraguan and Piloto Cubano tobacco within an Ecuadorian English Market Selection (EMS) leaf wrapper. The Tubo offers an easy draw and a bold, full-bodied taste in addition to providing a comforting woodsy aroma.
"The tradition of Villazon & Company providing superior cigars endures with the introduction of the Hoyo Tubos," says Bill Roethel, Villazon's vice president of marketing. "This particular cigar not only delivers quality tobacco, but a unique level of convenience and portability at great value."
The Hoyo de Monterrey Tubos, classic Lonsdale size (6 1/4 x 43), are available at select tobacco outlets nationwide. The cigar's suggested retail price is: $3.75. Formerly manufactured in Cuba, the Hoyo de Monterrey brand sold in the United States is made by Cuban émigrés in Honduras.
Villazon & Company, Inc., which traces its roots to 1886, is leading manufacturer and marketer of premium cigar brands including Hoyo de Monterrey and Excalibur. The company is a subsidiary of General Cigar Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:MPP), which dates back to 1906, and manufacturers and markets its own premium cigar brands including Macanudo, Partagas and Cohiba. In addition to being a major grower of high-quality Connecticut shade wrapper tobacco, General Cigar operates the Club Macanudo cigar bars in New York City and Chicago.
